Then, what’s the purpose of this project?
To support professionals to prevent setting off negative coping mechanisms of young people by recognizing traumatic symptoms, providing a safe environment utilizing proper tools for working with them, and, when the case, re-direct them to a specialist.
About the Project
Youngsters can experience trauma in different forms: domestic violence, accidents, neglect, abuse, separation or divorce of parents, etc. and as professionals who work with such a vulnerable target group, it is important to understand the fundamental catalyst behind the challenges young people face. Lacking the ability to recognize symptoms of trauma, there can be blind spots in understanding the behavior of these young people and diminish the efficiency of their intervention and support. Another risk is involuntarily triggering negative emotions and reactions which might not be well handled.
